Description: This event is all about taking more time to unwind and express your creativity. It is a stressful time at the moment, so taking a step back for this creative session, which is ran weekly, can help to benefit your wellbeing. Different crafts will take place each week.

2) Building Your Professional Network in 2021 by Be Social Change

Description: This event is for pretty much anyone, whether creative or not. However, we thought we would add it to the list as being able to network with potential employers is a crucial skill to have in this day and age, especially with the job-market being more competitive than ever. Even if you are currently just looking for work experience opportunities, this webinar will show you that building up a network of key contacts is vital.








3) Meet-up by Rye Here Rye Now

Description: This event provides a chance for designers, illustrators and photographers to meet up and share ideas. It will therefore give you a great opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone and show what amazing ideas you have as a student. It will also give you the chance to Network with professionals, which could land you a job!





4) Unlocked Webinars: Creative Careers and Accessibility to the Arts

(Don't worry, we checked if this event overlapped with the first - and it doesn't - so be prepared for a busy evening!).


Description: Want to hear from creatives close to your age about issues you're passionate about? This might be the event for you. This new webinar is part of a series delivered by young people in Plymouth and is about important issues. These include wellbeing and access to creative careers.


If you're based in Plymouth and fancy hosting a talk about a specific topic - then you're also encouraged to get in touch!




5) How To Future-Proof Your Creative Career in a Pandemic by The Northern School of Art

Description: During this talk you will hear from creative lecturers at the Northern School of Art, on how you can still have a successful creative career during the pandemic. So, if you're close to graduating and interested in pursuing a career in art or design, then this might be the talk for you, to help put your fears at ease and motivate you to the max.








6) Anchoring & Awakening Your Creative Practice during Crisis by RISD Office of Alumni + Family Relations


Price: Free


Description: If you study a creative subject at school, college or university, or have recently graduated and are finding it difficult to be inspired, or think of new ideas for creative projects during the crisis, then this event aims to help tackle this. The areas that will be covered during the online workshop will include; how to calm your mind, emotional awareness, the significance of your movement and environment, and the practice of mindfulness, to help you feel calmer.
